Work Hours Job Details We are seeking a detail-driven and
experienced Legal Appeals Coordinator / Specialist to join our
dynamic Legal Finance team. This critical role combines expertise
in legal billing appeals, e-billing compliance, and rate
administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
managing the appeals process for billing rejections or reductions,
ensuring accurate implementation of billing rates, and supporting
the e-billing function across multiple client platforms. This is a
unique opportunity to collaborate with legal professionals, billing
teams, and clients, while playing a pivotal role in optimizing
revenue recovery and maintaining billing compliance. Key
Responsibilities Appeals Management Review and analyze rejected,
reduced, or disputed invoice line items submitted through client
e-billing platforms. Draft and submit appeal justifications,
corrections, or supporting documentation in alignment with
client-specific billing guidelines. Track the status of all appeals
and follow up to ensure timely resolution and recovery. Collaborate
with attorneys and billing teams to understand service context and
strengthen appeal arguments. Rate & Compliance Oversight Maintain
and update client-specific billing rates, discounts, and fee
structures within billing systems. Work closely with client
relationship managers and billing attorneys to review rate
proposals, changes, and approvals. Ensure rates and timekeeper
information are accurately reflected in e-billing platforms and
internal systems. Monitor compliance with negotiated billing
arrangements and client guidelines. E-Billing Support Serve as a
key point of contact for e-billing submissions, ensuring invoices
are submitted accurately and on time through platforms like Legal
Tracker, CounselLink, Serengeti, and BillBlast. Troubleshoot
submission errors, perform audits, and validate successful invoice
transmission and acceptance. Assist in onboarding new clients or
timekeepers into e-billing systems, including rate setup and
mapping. Generate regular reports on invoice status, appeal
outcomes, and performance metrics. Qualifications Bachelor's degree
in Accounting, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field
preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in legal billing,
appeals coordination, or e-billing administration. Strong knowledge
of legal billing practices, rate structures, and client guidelines.
Hands-on experience with major e-billing platforms (e.g., Legal
Tracker, CounselLink, BillBlast, Aderant, Elite). Excellent
attention to detail, organization, and time management. Strong
written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service
mindset. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present
solutions proactively. Self-motivated with a collaborative attitude
