year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. A 1099 contract opportunity is available for a skilled
Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services
within an educational setting. This role is based in Norwalk, CA,
providing essential communication support to students and staff
through remote platforms. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate
effective communication between Deaf or hard-of-hearing students
and educational staff via telehealth. Interpret spoken language
into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa with accuracy and
professionalism. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical
standards during all interpreting assignments. Collaborate remotely
with educators and related service providers to enhance students'
learning experiences. Manage scheduling and documentation in
compliance with contract requirements. Qualifications and
Experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language with current
certification recognized in educational interpreting. Previous
experience interpreting in telehealth or remote educational
environments preferred. Strong understanding of educational
terminology and protocols. Ability to work independently under a
