is seeking Structural and Payload Design Engineer (Associate or
Experienced) in El Segundo, CA. - This position will focus on
Antenna Structures.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range
of experience levels including; Associate or Experienced
- Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and
interior payload system requirements to establish the system
- Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior
payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided
Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product
definition to other engineering groups, production operations,
suppliers and external customers throughout the product
- Performs test to validate and verify systems and components
meet requirements and specifications.
- Assists with supplier development, test and production
activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the
design and achieve program goals.
- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop
concepts for future product designs to meet projected
- Works under general supervision.This position is expected to be
100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be required to work
onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires
-the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S.
Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic -Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 1 or more years of experience in mechanical and/or structural
- Design knowledge of manufacturing for structural metallic and
composite componentsPreferred Qualifications (Desired
- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
- Ability to interpret structural requirements and then create
the design and draft the drawings
- 3 or more years' related work experience of composite design.
Satellite experience preferred.
- Experience working with manufacturing methods, fabrications or
assembly processes.Typical Education & Experience:
Associate (Level 2)Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree
with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master
or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study,
in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.Experienced (Level 3)Bachelor's degree and
typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with
experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or
Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
