As a Senior Avionics Engineer, you will have an exciting opportunity to lead the development of critical technology for our spacecraft, including our upcoming vehicle scheduled for launch in early 2026. Job Duties • Spearhead the entire electrical design process, including testing, qualification, and integration for our spacecraft • Drive avionics development from initial concept through to flight-ready systems and integration • Manage the design and interfacing of avionics, encompassing requirements capture, component selection, analysis, and system-level trade-offs • Prototype and validate flight computers, power systems, communications, and electronic systems • Ensure system reliability through root cause and corrective action investigation, debugging, and documentation • Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing and develop testbeds for system validation • Lead efforts to comply with relevant government and safety standards Qualifications • BS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field • 2 years of experience in developing space electronics and avionic systems • Proven track record in architecting and qualifying avionics systems for spaceflight • Familiarity with government and MIL-spec standards • Hands-on experience in circuit design and using electronics test equipment • Experience with Altium Designer or similar tools • Proficient in troubleshooting electronics at both the board and system levels • Background in a fast-paced startup environment or equivalent experience • Strong engineering foundation with a first-principles approach to problem-solving Preferred Experience • Experience with Altium Designer or similar software is a plus • Familiarity with relevant government and MIL-spec standards Why Join Us • Excellent benefits and a strong sense of ownership in the work • Venture-backed and well-funded, providing stability and room for growth • Opportunity to work alongside industry-leading experts in a dynamic and innovative environment Compensation Details $120,000 - $180,000 LI-AV
