Job DescriptionMolecular Innate Immunity Post-Doctoral PositionA postdoctoral position is available immediately to study novel aspects of canonical- and non-canonical inflammasome responses in macrophages in the Stehlik-Dorfleutner Laboratory of Molecular Innate Immunology. Research is focused on the molecular mechanisms regulating inflammasome responses and deciphering unique inflammasome responses in human macrophages and their function in inflammatory and auto-immune disease and during host-pathogen interaction in humans and in mouse models. Applicants with experience in biochemical techniques and immune-relevant animal models will receive special consideration. The ability to work in a team, good organizational and English language skills, as well as initiative, flexibility and good learning ability are required. Candidates need to be eligible to work and reside in the US. May develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols. Analyzes and interprets data. May assist in preparation of grant proposals. Participates in publications and presentations as author or co-author. Not responsible for generating grant funds, but fellowship application is encouraged.
