Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse III, will assist the Assistant Nurse Manager with coordination of patient care, retrieval of diagnostic work-up, data entry into CS-Link. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the expert application of the nursing process and delivery of patient care. Serves as a patient advocate in the program. The Clinical Nurse III provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, CSMC Code of Conduct, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan and Nursing Strategic Plan. He/she maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. He/she can identify the ability of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow direction/instructions and give consent. He/she can identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environmental and provide appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones in the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population.
Educational Requirements: Associate Degree in nursing required.
BSN preferred Licenses: Current California RN license required
BLS certification required, Specialty Certification must be obtained within the first year of hire Experience: 3 years of relevant acute care experience required Physical Demands: The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions
