Description:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related specialized
field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience. Specialized certification may be required. Typically
possesses six or more years experience in the field performing
analysis and providing recommendations. Ability to provide
extensive technical analysis in data planning, engineering and
design and make decisions or recommendations for programs and
projects development and implementation. Ability to interface with
clients to determine requirements. Provides answers to clients by
identifying problems; researching answers; guiding client through
corrective steps.Improves client references by writing and
maintaining documentation.Participates in development of client
training programs by identifying learning issues; recommending
instructional language.Accommodates client disabilities by
recommending devices and techniques.Avoids legal challenges by
monitoring compliance with service agreements.Improves system
performance by identifying problems; recommending changes.Updates
job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
maintaining personal networks.Accomplishes information systems and
organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload:
? Install, configure, update/patch, and upgrade OS and
infrastructures tools/applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot compute infrastructure (servers,
workstations, and appliances) and infrastructures application
issues.
Identify and implement actions plans to improve systems performance
or prevent issues.
Perform user account administration, password, and access
management (add/remove/change).
Coordinating activities involving clients, other IT teams, and
vendors in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our systems
(including after-hours support).
Ensuring maintenance and support activities are in compliance with
IT processes and adhere to our Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Create, review, and modify operational processes and procedures
documentation.
Working with business clients and IT partners to maximize the value
of the PSC managed applications.
Perform analysis, provide recommendations to other groups, using
knowledge of infrastructure configuration and capability,
application flows, and use of monitoring tools.
Ensuring maintenance and support activities are in compliance with
NERC CIP, IT and Cyber securitys policies, standards, and process,
and industry best practice.
Support compliance and audit activities.
Supporting mission critical applications, including after-hours and
tier-2 support.
On-call duty for after-hour and weekend.
Required Skills/Attributes:
Five (5) or more years installing, updating/patching, maintaining,
optimizing, and supporting enterprise hardware, software systems,
and applications, including but not limited to the following:
Dell/Client server & workstation hardware
Microsoft Windows operating systems (2008/ 2012/ 2016/2019/Win7/
Win10)
VMware
SCCM
McAfee Anti-Virus, End Point Protection Suite
Multi-factor authentication
Privilege account management
Desired Skills/Attributes:
Experience supporting Citrix
Experience supporting Password Vault
Strong scripting language skills including PowerShell.
Experience with Dev-Ops
