Job Description:

This position is for a Senior Systems Engineer II who is expected to provide technical support for the post production activities associated with the fielding, repairs, and upgrades of the F-15 AESA Radars. The candidate will support the F-15 Sustainment Team with data review/analysis, procedure development, failure analysis, hands-on-testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and system design requirements. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential as is familiarity and experience in applying Systems Engineering Best Practices.

The Senior Systems Engineer II will represent the Whole Life Engineering Center - Mission Sustainment Department as a key team member of the program. This will include identifying key issues and addressing them with the optimal technical solution. Ability to manage and apply the knowledge of Systems Engineering, Test & Integration, Reliability, Maintainability, Safety, and Supportability (RMSS) techniques, theories, applicable company/industry standards, processes and policies to ensure that product(s) are developed which can be deployed, maintained and repaired within acceptable limits. General knowledge of Performance Based Logistics, Contractor Logistics Support practices and policies, repair techniques, and supply chain management. Perform investigations, analyze data and consider other technical tasks necessary to evaluate evolving design efforts and assist in recommending design alternatives in order to meet or improve RMSS requirements. Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet customer and company objectives.

The Senior System Engineer is responsible for the following:
- Provide System Engineering support on F-15 Sustainment Programs (APG-63v3 and APG-82v1 platforms)
- Deliver engineering technical support to various Depot locations: Forest, MS, Warner Robins, GA, and El Segundo, CA.
- Meet contractual performance based metrics
- Support technical issues on Depot repairs
- Collection and preparation of engineering performance data on the program and reporting this performance to the engineering and program management
- Coordination of engineering resources supporting the program ensuring timely, value-added components is provided
- Leading/managing tasks/projects and team members
- Mentor Junior Engineers

Required Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of engineering experience, with preferably half of that in system design, integration, test, and support experience
- Experienced presenter with prior responsibility for communicating and delivering messaging effectively with all levels of management and peers
- Manage multiple priorities in a schedule-driven environment
- Conduct analysis, investigations, and consider other technical tasks necessary to evaluate evolving design efforts and assist in recommending design alternatives
- Ability to travel as needed
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment

Desired Skills:
- Sustainment related management background
- General knowledge of Performance Based Logistics, Contractor Logistics Support practices and policies, and Repair of Repairable techniques
- Familiarity with F-15 AESA Radar Systems and Hardware architecture
- Experience working in an engineering laboratory environment, working with Support Test Equipment (STE) and Test Equipment
- Microsoft (MS) Office Application Suite (Word, Visio, Project, Excel, etc.)
- Participated/conducted engineering Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR)
- System Engineering Best Practices: Requirement Development/Definition, Flow Down, Verification Traceability, Various Levels of Production Development and Verification

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, other related technical discipline

Desired Education:
Master's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, other related technical discipline
