Job Description:

As a Wedding Planner, you are the gateway for Couples who want to make their wedding dreams come true and have chosen the Disneyland Resort as their destination. This role is best suited for individuals with prior wedding, catered events or creative event design experience. A typical day would involve engaging with couples as they are assigned, evaluating venue and food and beverage options, meeting with department leaders, capturing details in a Salesforce based system and consulting with the Operating Partners. This role requires daily and close collaboration with the wedding vendors to consistently deliver a premium wedding experience for the couple, their families and guests. This position reports to the Catering & Convention Services Assistant Director. This position is part of Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings Services Team. The team's services effort provides the Disney experience for couples booked at the Disneyland Resort within the three Hotels and two Theme Parks. This is a full time position with the ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends, holidays and evening hours. You Will: Ensure that all wedding events are handled efficiently and professionally through timely communication, paperwork distribution and on-site coordination on assigned Weddings Provide all operating departments with support documentation (banquet event order's and room diagrams), daily communication with operating departments to note client's expectations, provide clarifications, changes and deletions Conduct and/or attend all support meetings to include planning meetings, BEO meetings and menu tastings Function as the on-site contact to client for all aspects of their events and to be available by telephone Understand wedding banquet menus, food and beverage minimums, rooms and standard operating policies Develop and create proposals for customized menus, including theme events, entertainment and floral packages Ensure that maximum revenue is captured for Hotel Services in Security, Event Services, Entertainment and Audio Visual Knowledge of all Disneyland Resort products in order to promote Theme Park Events, Theme Park ticket sales, merchandise sales, and dining experiences Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to change both for our couples and internal partners You Have: Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional level of written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated strong networking and Social Media skills Focused with attention to detail, planning and organizational skills Ability to work with diverse personalities Flexible and able to assist multiple Partners Excel at Time Management Preferred Qualifications Proven self-starter and with the ability to balance multiple priorities Knowledge of Salesforce, AHD, Travelbox/Opera, CROC, Outlook Understanding of Disney Culture Culinary Experience Preferred Education High School Diploma or equivalent Our Benefits: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
