Description LOBBY RECEPTIONIST PROGRAM SPECIALIST I Housing
Assistance Division Regular Position Position located in Palmdale

The Housing Assistance Division of the Los Angeles County
Development Authority (LACDA) is responsible for the administration
of the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP). The LACDA administers
over 26,000 Housing Choice Vouchers for the County of Los Angeles,
as well as other targeted and grant-funded rental subsidy programs.
The Housing Assistance Division partners with 10,000 landlords,
helping eligible families afford safe, decent, high-quality rental
housing. POSITION OVERVIEW Provides clerical and lobby support,
including answering, screening, and routing a high volume of
telephone calls, responds and provides accurate program information
to the public. Essential Job Duties Provide assistance to the
general public, program participants and property owners as a lobby
receptionist. Project a courteous and professional demeanor in
greeting clients, Answering inquiries regarding the HCV Program,
including, but not limited to the application process, housing
resources and other related areas. Perform clerical duties related
to routing messages to appropriate staff, answering, screening, and
routing a high volume of telephone calls. Accurately input
pertinent client information in computer system. Maintain a high
standard of customer service to effectively represent the LACDA and
the HCV Program. Prepare documents for mailing, sort, and deliver
mail. Prepare and issue routine notices. Assist with client
interview sessions. Operate office equipment including, document
imaging system Laserfiche. Perform other related duties as
assigned. Qualifications Education equivalent to high school
graduation and one (1) year of professional experience working in
an office environment as a receptionist or office manager
responsible for providing excellent customer service in-person and
via telephone. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION Experience working with
diverse population. Experience with Laserfiche Bilingual, Spanish
speaking Additional Information NOTE: Salary compensation is
dependent on qualifications (experience, education, skills and
abilities). Initial salary placement is generally made at the
beginning to mid-point of the posted range. New hires are not
eligible to start at the maximum of the posted range. Successful
applicants must possess a valid California Class C Driver's
License, an acceptable driving record and comply with the LACDA's
Motor Vehicle Safety Policy during the course of employment.
