We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Tech to join our team in 2nd shift from 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, with some weekends. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility, particularly in areas related to food processing and production. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and sanitation practices, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and sanitized according to industry regulations while ensuring safe actions, environmental compliance, and quality production in a Good Manufacturing Practice food-grade operation.     Duties
    • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of food processing areas, equipment, and surfaces.
    • Utilize commercial cleaning supplies/chemicals and equipment effectively to maintain high hygiene standards.
    • Conduct routine inspections to identify and report sanitation issues, equipment damage, or safety hazards.
    • Assist in the proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to sanitation schedules.
    • Engage in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required during cleaning processes.
    • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and adhere to all safety guidelines.
    • Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers as per company policies and safety guidelines.
    • Dilute and mix cleaning solutions as needed.
    • Establishes a strong team spirit in its departments by promoting communication and respect.
    • Performs other tasks at the request of his immediate superiorRequirements: Experience
      • High school diploma or G.E.D.
      • Previous experience in food processing, industrial cleaning, or commercial cleaning preferred.
      • Familiarity with food processing environments is a plus.
      • Knowledge of proper sanitation techniques and procedures.
      • Mechanically inclined.
      • A strong understanding of sanitation standards within food production is highly desirable.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
      • Bilingual (English - Spanish) preferred.Additional Information:
        • Ability to work in a warehouse setting that includes refrigeration (38F) and wet conditions.
        • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 40 pounds.The physical demands outlined are essential for performing the job effectively.
